Magnetospheres of Neutron Stars
Andrei Beloborodov
Columbia University

Magnetospheres of neutron stars produce bright pulsating radiation from radio waves to gamma-rays. The energy release in the magnetosphere occurs through an electron-positron discharge. Recent progress in understanding these objects will be reviewed. Two types of pulsars will be discussed: rotationally powered and magnetically powered.
