The CRAQ Summer School on
Scientific Machine Learning Applied to Astrophysical Data

The Centre for Research in Astrophysics of Quebec (CRAQ) is announcing its annual Summer School, which will be held on June 26-28, 2024 at Campus MIL, UdeM, Montreal, Quebec.

Registration deadline: May 30, 2024

This year’s topic will focus on scientific machine learning with applications to astrophysical data. The 3-day school will introduce basic concepts in machine learning, data analysis, and probabilities, and introduce advanced topics in deep learning as well as showcase applications to various astrophysical datasets. More specifically, the topics of uncertainty quantifications, anomaly detection, and inference (in high and low dimensions) will be discussed.

The CRAQ Summer School is principally aimed at graduate students in the fields of physics, astronomy, and astrophysics, although students who have completed an undergraduate program in physics will also be accepted.

There is no registration fee. However, we will not offer traveling funds or cover lodging expenses. Lodging at a reasonable cost are available to the participants on the university campus.
