First study of five short-period contact binary systems.

Somayeh Soomandar (Bishop's University )

In this paper, the photometric analysis of five short-period systems (MS Leo, MY Leo, OP Leo, NZ Leo, and V0339 Leo) is presented. This represents the first photometric analysis conducted on these systems, which were observed by the TESS satellite. New ephemerides were calculated for each system using the TESS minimum times along with additional minimum times from the literature. Among these, five systems exhibit a linear trend in orbital period changes. The light curve analysis was performed using the Physics of Eclipsing Binaries (PHOEBE) software.
