A Multiwavelength View of the Ionized Gas in NGC 1275 with SITELLE

Carter Rhea ( Université de Montréal )

The central galaxy of the Perseus cluster, NGC 1275, plays host to an emission-line nebula visible clearly in optical wavelengths. The nebula is filamentary, ranging from the inner kiloparsecs to several dozens of kiloparsecs. In this talk, I will present the multi-filter SITELLE observations of the filamentary nebula in NGC 1275. These observations, in conjunction with other multi-wavelength observations, paint a picture of a complex filamentary nebula that is highly influenced by its surrounding medium.
