We employ an asteroseismological model for PG 1351+489, a He-rich atmosphere (DB) white dwarf pulsator belonging to the class of V777 Her or DBV variable stars, and use an estimate of the rate of period change for the dominant mode of this pulsating star, to constrain the value of the neutrino magnetic dipole moment (\mu_\nu). We find an upper limit of \mu_\nu \sim 6 \times 10^{-12} \mu_B, in very good agreement with the recent estimation of the neutrino magnetic dipole moment from the WDLF by Miller Bertolami (2014).
