Magnetic Fields in Supernova Remnants and Pulsar Wind Nebulae
Roland Kothes

Understanding the Universe is impossible without understanding magnetic fields. Magnetic fields can be found everywhere, they affect everything, but we do not know that much about them. In my talk I will discuss what we have learned about magnetic fields and their influence on supernova remnants and how we can exploit this to learn more about large-scale magnetic fields in our Galaxy. I will also discuss the controversy about magnetic field structures inside pulsar wind nebulae, where the magnetic field configuration found by observers is incompatible with that predicted by theory.
