Abstract

The dazzling stories of WR140, WR25 and other X-ray colliding-wind binaries.

Andy Pollock (European Space Agency)

Moffat was the first 30 years ago with V444 Cyg and EZ CMa. Since then, X-ray observations of Wolf-Rayet binary systems have taught remarkable things about a broad range of topics in physics of Universal relevance including stellar evolution, gas dynamics and the micro and macro behaviour of collisionless plasmas.
