We use the available WDLFs from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey and the SuperCOSMOS Sky Survey, together with new white dwarf models sequences that take into account the previous evolutionary history of the star, to put constrains on the values of the neutrino magnetic dipole moment and the mass of DFSZ-axions. We discuss different luminosity ranges and their sensitivity to both axion and neutrinos. Then we derive plausible constrains on their properties and discuss the uncertainties behind the determinations.
