Neutrinos from dark matter annihilation in the Sun

WIMPs, a candidate for dark matter, can be indirectly detected via a neutrino flux generated by WIMP annihilations in the Sun. In this talk, I review the process by which WIMPs become captured in stars, annihilate, and produce neutrinos detectable in experiments such as IceCube. I examine various issues that affect this process and the interpretation of experimental results. Finally, I discuss this indirect detection mechanism in the context of supersymmetric dark matter.
