Search for Transiting Exoplanets in the Open Cluster NGC 4755

We have searched the young open cluster NGC 4755 for transiting exoplanets using the 16" Perth Robotic Telescope in Western Australia. A new wavelet based algorithm was devised for removing noise from light curves and has advantages over existing algorithms. Light curves from 1170 stars were obtained and while no transits were found, some new variable stars were discovered. I will discuss the results of our project and future work.
